Prevention Education
Without a supply of children, buyers of sex with children and traffickers would be powerless. Without demand, the sexual exploitation of children and child sex trafficking wouldn’t exist. Reaching kids before traffickers and perpetrators do and targeting demand is the most impactful way to end the sexual exploitation of children and child sex trafficking. That’s why prevention is key. And key to prevention is education and awareness.
Since 2005, we’ve brought education to over 80, 000, including 230 schools, government, corporations, law enforcement and community groups in Canada and 11 countries.
Our presentations weave powerful stories of survivors from Canada and around the world with jarring statistics, facts on the nuances of trafficking, important conversations about male privilege and misogyny, and lessons for girls and boys on how to protect themselves and how adults can recognize the signs of trafficking.
But we don’t leave you feeling helpless. We insert a big dose of inspiration with stories of youth who have taken action and we leave you with tangible steps you can take in your school and community to beat the sexual exploitation of children and child sex trafficking.
