Convention on the Rights of the Child
The 1989 United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child outlines all the rights that countries are expected to protect. Below, we’ve listed two that we feel are super important!

Article 12:
You have the right to give your opinion, and for adults to listen and take it seriously.
Article 34
You have the right to be free from sexual abuse. No one is allowed to kidnap or sell you.
At OneChild, we want youth to use the power of Article 12 to hold their governments accountable and fight to end the sexual exploitation of children.
Sustainable Development Goals
The Sustainable Development Goals are a collection of 17 global goals that are an urgent call for action by all countries to achieve peace and prosperity for all people on the planet, now and until 2030. Goal 8.7 calls for immediate and effective measures to eradicate forced labour, end child labour in all forms and end modern slavery and human trafficking. Goal 16.2 seeks to end abuse, exploitation, trafficking and all forms of violence against and torture of children.
At OneChild, we join the global community in working towards Goals 8.7 and 16.2 by ensuring that the sexual exploitation and sex trafficking of children are a thing of the past by 2030.
