Angie Callan is a student intern and the World Shakers Coordinator at OneChild. Currently enrolled in the Community Worker program at George Brown College in Toronto, she is thrilled to be your resource person, guide, and cheerleader along your journey to action.

Angie's passion for the issue of the commercial sexual exploitation of children was fuelled by the things she witnessed on her travels through Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam, Nepal and India. Since her whirlwind trip in 2005, she has been back several times, and worked with two local development organizations in Cambodia, focusing on human trafficking, HIV/AIDS, gender and development, and refugee rights. Angie has since fallen in love with the magic of Asia, and her passion for these issues grows stronger every day.

In her free time (when she has any!), Angie loves to read, paint, eat delicious food, listen to music, and hang out with friends and family. She is an avid animal lover and more than anything else, a world traveler. She feels so fortunate having had the opportunities to see life in so many diverse and beautiful countries around the world. After her time at George Brown, Angie looks forward to obtaining a degree in international development and her dream is to work internationally with children and women on the issues of trafficking and exploitation.
